The dome
His mausoleum is the building the archive’s Gol Gumbaz essay is about: begun “during the early years of Mohammed Adil Shah’s reign” and “continued until his death in 1656”, its plaster abandoned mid-way. The essay corrects the size claims that circulate about it and this entry does not repeat them.
The Great Houses hold no succession record for his accession in 1627, and say so on the surface: no page has yet been read that states by what means he followed his father Ibrahim II, and the archive does not supply a mode it cannot cite.
