Why it appears here

This entry exists as the counterparty. The Alliance Layer stores every marriage with a direction, and on the evidence gathered so far the Mughal house is always the receiving end. Recording that as a fact of the data, rather than as a sentence in an essay, is what lets a chart state it.

The empire’s own depth belongs elsewhere in the archive. What is claimed here is only its role in the alliance system: the party that granted rank, office and protection, and gave no daughters back.
