Son and designated heir-apparent of Ghiyasuddin Khalji, who forced his way into Mando, killed his younger brother Alla-ood-Deen and his family, and took the throne on 27 Rubi al-Thani A.H.906/25 October A.D.1500 amid accusations (which Ferishta calls unproven) of having also poisoned his father; he reigned 11 years and 4 months, dying of a fever after naming his third son Mahmud his successor.

On the 27th of Rubbee-oos-Sany, of the year 906, Nasir-ood-Deen ascended the throne of Malwa. It was asserted at the time that he poisoned his father; yet...it is not just to accuse him of that crime, as no circumstance was ever brought forward to prove the assertion
