Installed as Killadar of Banganapalle by Tipu Sultan of Mysore in 1783 after the regent Asaad Ali Khán refused a summons, holding the post for seven years until expelled by Husain Ali Khán's returning family.

Husain Ali Khán had four sons—Gulam Ali Khán, Saiyid Mustapha Ali Khán, Saiyid Ahmad Ali Khán, and Saiyid Fatte Ali Khán. These being minors, their uncle, Asaad Ali Khán (afterwards Muzaffar Mulk) managed the territory for them. In 1198 Hejairi (A.D. 1783) Tipú Sultán of Mysore summoned Asaad Ali Khán to appear before him; but Asaad Ali Khán disobeyed the summons and took shelter with the Hindu Poligar of Mutialpad. Tipú Sultán took possession of the territory and appointed one Muhammad Yúsuf as Killadar of Banganapalle.
