Miran Muhammad Shah I
Nephew of Bahadur Shah and ruler of Khandesh, he was invited to the throne by the Gujarat nobles in default of an heir in 1537 but died suddenly within six weeks of his elevation, succeeded by Mahmud, son of the late Bahadur Shah's brother Lutf Khan.

The Guzerat officers, however, convening a meeting, resolved on inviting Meeran Mahomed Khan of Kandeish, nephew of Bahadur Shah, who was then in Malwa, to ascend the throne; and without further hesitation, coins were struck, and public prayers read in his name.
