Malik Sarwar
A eunuch minister of the Delhi sultan Muhammad Shah (son of Firuz Shah Tughluq), he was made governor of the eastern provinces in 1394 with the title Malik al-Sharq, made Jaunpur his capital, and used Delhi's disorder to proclaim independence, founding the Sharqi line; he died in office in 1399.
