Jodha
Jodha succeeded his father Ranmall as Rao of Marwar in 1444 and in 1459 founded Jodhpur, transferring the seat of government there from Mandor.

Jodha, a.d. 1444-88. The Foundation of Jodhpur.—Jodha was born at Danla, the appanage of his father in Mewar, in the month Baisakh, S. 1484. In 1511 he obtained Sojat, and in the month Jeth, 1515 (a.d. 1459) laid the foundation of Jodhpur, to which he transferred the seat of government from Mandor.
