Elder son of Mahmud Khalji I, who succeeded his father in 1469 and reigned peaceably for 33 years while his own son Nasiruddin managed the government; Nasiruddin stormed the fort of Mando against him on 24 Rubi al-Thani A.H.906/22 October A.D.1500, and Ghiyasuddin was found poisoned in his seraglio days later.
