A cousin of Muhammad bin Tughluq (son of Salar Rajub and a sister of Ghiyas-ud-din Tughluq) whom the dying king recommended as his successor, and whom the army then proclaimed king in camp; abdicated in old age in favour of his grandson and died soon after at 90.
