'Ali Dost Khan (Dost Ali Khan)

Second son of Ghulam Ali Khan, Qil'adar of Vellore, and nephew of Nawwab Sa'adatullah Khan; elected to the nizamat of Arcot when his elder brother Baqir Ali Khan ceded him the throne on the day of his own election, and was killed in battle against the Marathas at the foot of the Damalcherue pass in early 1740.
