Adil Khan Faruqi III (Azim Homayun)

Installed at Burhanpur in 1510 by his maternal grandfather Mahmud Shah Begarha of Gujarat over the rival claim of Alam Khan of Ahmadnagar, and died in 1520 after a nineteen-year reign, succeeded by his son Miran Muhammad Shah.

vol. IV, p. 304 · read as page image Mahmood Shah therefore placed Adil Khan in the government of Boorhanpoor, with the title of Azim Hoomayoon, and gave to him in marriage the daughter of Moozuffur Shah, sister by the same mother of Bahadur Shah of Guzerat.
