Abdul Rauf Khan

Son of Abdul Karim Khan; entered Aurangzeb's service after Bijapur's fall in 1686 and moved his head-quarters from Bankapur to Savanur, founding the line of Nawabs the Gazetteer still called 'the present Nawab's' ancestors in 1884.
